It got politically tense between the two countries during the communist regime of Mengistu H. Mariam. Then in 1991 – end of the Ethiopian civil war, the American policy imposed the actual regime. They are still the once in power.
Most of the Ethiopian People didn’t understand why or for what reason this intervention took place.
Their country never had the imperialist world’s interest. (eg. No Oil!?)

During the last decade, the western world propagated all over the world ONLY about the drought and conflicts in some Ethiopian regions. The media intentionally makes it sound that only chaos is happening all over the country.

To all who want to approach with no respect, Ethiopians say “Thanks, but no thanks!

It is a question of being humble like the historic President B. Obama mentioned on his inaugural speech yesterday. Thanks to the attitude of the 44th President, I can say with full assurance, even after Bush!

God bless America, for this country has the legacy of LEGAL and MORAL freedom fighters!
