Now we can see what a professional organization Miss Universe Ethiopia was before certain people decided to fight tooth and nail kill it off.

So Since 2006 they have quit sending girls from Ethiopia to Miss universe because every year some silly person in Addis wanted to fight them for the license.

But now those same people don’t even bother to send anybody to Miss Universe.

What a shame, we will never learn.

    Hi
I was always amazed by the Miss Universe Ethiopia organization, they worked very hard for our country and did a lot for us, Ferehiyewot Abebe [MUE 2004], met the President of Ecuador, Atetegeb [MUE 2005] met the Prime Minister of Thailand, Dina Fekadu [MUE2006] met Donald Trump etc and so many Ethiopian Girls got a huge Platform to promote and change Ethiopia’s international image of famine, poverty and a nation of starving people.

We suddenly could stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world and MUE org went on to organize the very first Big International Beauty contest in Ethiopia to help celebrate our Millennium: http://www.MissTourismoftheMillennium.com

But it is very sad to see that we are sometimes our own worst enemy. and will rather band together and kill off something good, if the so called “Usual suspects in Addis Ababa” can’t make money of it, instead of supporting it.

so since 2007 Ethiopia has been missing from Miss Universe… what a shame!

It is Indeed very sad to read this, I wonder why (the press) doesn’t contact them and do something with them, it could be a good thing for both of them? I read on their website they are working in many other African countries now like: CONGO, KENYA, LIBERIA, GABON, DR CONGO, SENEGAL etc sending their girls to miss earth and Miss international. Maybe they will also soon stop sending Ethiopia to Miss Earth?

They must see something very positive in his work to hire him to help them…… but we just want to drive him away and feel sorry for ourselves later.
