Good Luck Henok!

Btw when is the govt to establish a transparent and accountable stock exchange like in next door Kenya and other African Nations. Without such an exchange, it will be hard for Ethiopia to achieve its true potential.

My views are centred mainly on the presentation of the interview and the subject matter.

I have read and taken in number of article published by numerous website we have available to us today, which are design to report progress of Ethiopia and Ethiopians.

But nothing in the magnitude of this interview I had a pleasure of reading. You might say what an exaggeration, but when you read an article especially on a positive subject of development, investment and growth of our economy and that combine with the dynamic interview, interviewer and Henok’s well taught and confident responses, it’s what we Diaspora need “the last push” to consider investment in Ethiopia in one form or another.

I urge you to consider to follow this up and return with the in depth analysis of the investment opportunities available for Diaspora’s. I say that since Henok has only touch on the subject. It might be elementary to some but lots of Diaspora’s have a busy life in their respective resident, thus, less time to investigate, analyse and understand the investment policies. But forums, interviews and article open up the roads and present a vehicle for Diaspora’s to ask questions, communicate with the right established organisations/individuals and receive the correct. This is most important to make sure there are no short falls.

The more information we have and more positive representation the “Henok’s” are available to the masses the better for investment confidence. Confidence is a winning formula that will progress and push the dreams we all have to go back and contribute to the growth of our economy.

Well, well, I have known for some time now some of the enthusiastic Diaspora returnees like Henok Assefa and Ermias Amelga. These are young but highly respected young returnees who with all honesty are reengineering the investment climate here. Much of their activities have inspired many, not only the Diaspora but local young enterpreneurs to jump start new investments or follow their suit and take a share from what has come as the equity capital and other ventures like Access Bank.

I hope many will follow their vision and give this country something of what they have owned just to acknowledge that they still belong here and are ready to share the burden this country faces through changing the often bad image of our beloved Ethiopia.

Many thanks for Tadias to enlighten us on what is happening here and there as well.

sincerely,

What an exciting article on such a progressive and forward-thinking individual like Henok. This article was very informative and well written! I myself am an Ethiopian-American looking to invest in the future of my country. My investment my be partially financial but mostly it will be social as I intend to work to improve the day-to-day lives of the citizens of Ethiopia through various non-profit organizations. I believe that being a well-rounded individual in terms of overall knowledge about Ethiopia and keeping up with all of the activities as explained in this article is very important to my line of work as well and I appreciate the information! I would love to get in touch with Henok for more information and was ondering if his contact information (e-mail) is available?

Thanks again

Interesting article. Inflows of capital with the purpose of STRUCTURAL INVESTMENT is just what Ethiopia needs during this time of burgeoning growth. Now with the ascendence of the ECX (Ethiopian Commodities Exchange) in the near future we should see strong growth in transportation, packaging, marketing, farm equipment, brokering and consultation; of which the latter is mentioned herewith. Good luck to these enterprising people in their philanthropic profit-motivated endeavor.
