What a nice drama? Birds of the same feather flies together. By the name of freedom of expresion of idea Eskindir was trying to create hate-rage among people. He is nothing but a false journalist who never aired opposing views except his views. If Eskineir is a journalist then what do we call those journalists who dares to entertain different views despite their stand. Eskindir was using the name of journalist as a cover to use his hidden agenda, hatrage politics. He never preached peace but war.

I am delighted to hear this news. I hope his captors will grow less arrogant and know that they too are mortal. At the end, supreme justice is blind. Government sympathizers say he is not a journalist, he is an opinionated observer. By their standards, Nicholas D. Kristof is not a journalist either. What a joke?

Eskinder’s audaciousness is one of a kind. I admire his strength of stepping forward to safeguard the God given freedom of all Ethiopians. His alacrity to surrender his God given freedom shows that he is indeed abiding by the Golden Rule. If only we can all live by the Golden Rule then and only then we will see a changed Ethiopia!

No one deserves this award today more than Essknder Nega. It is appropriate that the PEN Freedom to Write Award is presented to Esknder a living symbol of liberty and freedom, or lack of it in this case, in his own nation and in the world. Congratulations and good luck!
