Very beautiful article, however you forgot to mention that African Americans are the Ethiopian Hebrew Israelites lost in the diaspora; I am going back to graduate school and I want to build a website strictly dedicated to the EOTC........I know the EOTC in Jerusalem has been persecuted by Armenian, Russian and Greek Orthodox Churches and my wife being from Russia; I am deeply concerned for our brethern of the EOTC in preserving the legacy of the Messiac faith started by this same ancient Church. Europeans want to access the tomb of the Messiah, however I give the most respect to the Bishops of the EOTC at preventing the devil from destroying the Church in which in Matthew 16:18 the Messiah prophesied that the gates of hell would not destroy this Church. We as the TRUE House of Israel need to unite and stop fighting amongst each other and come back to our spiritual roots..Amen! Selah Beta Israel?

Excellent! I am a decendant of General Antonio Maceo of Cuba, the Ethiopian warrior who liberated the Carribean from the Spanish. My father also worked to support Ethiopa in New York during the war with Italy. He was reconized for his efforts during a visit by The Empreor Sallassie to Atlanta to pay tribute to Dr. King in 1969. Thank you. How can I help Ethiopia? What is needed? What is the official policy of the present government of Ethiopia toward African American repatriation or duel citizenship?

I learnt alot about Ethiopian and American literature and I am very happy to tell you that my Mom and I are going a Catholic Church today. I went to the same Catholic Church with out my mom this morning and we are going there when she is finished with some things. I am very happy to here about the fact that Ethiopians came to American and started a Church. I also want to tell you that I am Catholic through my mom and I have been to one Catholic school called Villanova Prep School in California.
I think I am going to get ready to go to Church with my Mom.

Excellent article.

I notice people tend to equate the contributions of the pilots Hubert Julian and John Robinson. Hubert Julian was a showman who crashed the Emperor's new plane doing stunts the day before H.I.M.'s coronation after being told not to fly it. He was dismissed from Ethiopia the next day and was suspected of collaborating with the Italians. On the other hand, Colonel John Robinson flew repeatedly against the Italians suffering injuries. His bravery in flying inferior planes with no guns against constant enemy fire was only matched by his ability to memorize all the mountains from Addis to Adwa in order to escape in the clouds where Italians would be afraid to follow. He then came back to Ethiopia with African American pilots fresh from Tuskegee to start a pilot training school in Ethiopia. Colonel Robinson would die and be buried in Ethiopia on a volunteer emergency flight to deliver blood.

You might want to check out an article I wrote about Ethiopian and African American Relations a couple of years ago at the following link:
