Even though I have voted for Obama, I don't think he deserved the award. It is too early in his presidency to see the achievements he will have accomplished by the end of his presidency term(s)and there on after in philanthropy (such as Carter). I also don't think the prizes should be awarded on the merit of promising start of strive towards peace around the world but on tangible/quantifiable milestones. A lot of issues from campaign promises are still in political bog down. North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Guantanamo, healthcare.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I voted for Hillary Clinton in the primary and for Obama in the general election. And ever since I have watched this guy everyday working hard and making us all proud (weather you voted for him or not). Of course, as Obama himself said the peace prize is not a reflection of his accomplishment as President but rather a reflection of the promise of his presidency. It is also a signal that after 8 years of George Bush, America has once again returned to the heart of the world. The normal ethicate when someone wins an award, especially the highest award on earth, is to say congratulations. So Mr. President, congratulations for bringing another honor to your country and to your family! May god protect you from harm.
