Ethiotrans, a San Diego based
translation services company, has launched the first tablet keyboard
which allows you to write Amharic and other Ethiopian dialect
on your computer. The tablet keyboard is based on Fidel, the Amharic
alphabet table and includes additional characters for other Ethiopian
dialects. The product comes in two sizes, small and medium, and
connects to your computer’s USB port. The device works with
any word processor with an Amharic software. It can also be used
as a graphics design panel with the included Corel Art Dabbler.
