Love Guy: Ethiopian-American Gives Romance to U.S. Troops

Mussa Lema, a San Francisco based Ethiopian-American entrepreneur, has launched an online dating service for U.S. troops just in time for Valentine’s Day. “The BattleofLove.com website was developed to help our single soldiers meet someone special,” says Lemma. “We wanted to provide our troops with something very exciting, which is to enable them to meet the person who will love them the most.” According to The Metro, a Silicon Valleybased weekly newspaper, Lemma created the site to “help our troops who are paying a significant price for our safety and security.” Lema, who came to the United States in 1986, told the Newspaper: “This is true, especially, for the millions of us who came to this beautiful nation in search of freedom. We feel it is our moral duty to assist these brave men and women in any way we can.” The Metro said: “BattleofLove.com is Lema’s way of giving back to his adoptive country.” In a press release announcing the launching of the official dating website of the armed forces, Lema said: “The online dating service is available free to anyone in the armed services. We welcome everyone above the age of 18 years old who is in search of their own ‘Real Hero’.”
